Femina Miss India World 2018: Tamil Nadu girl Anukreethy Vas won the 55th edition of Femina Miss India 2018 pageant held at Dome, NSCI stadium. The second and first runner up positions were bagged by Ms Shreya Rao (Andhra Pradesh), Ms Meenakshi Chaudhary. This was just another feather to her cap as she has previously also won titles like "Miss Tamil Nadu 2018", "Miss India Miss Beautiful Smile 2018", "Miss India Miss Fashion Icon (South)".

She was crowned by previous year winner and Miss world " Manushi Chillar".The event was star studded graced by the presence of celebrities like Kareena Kapoor Khan, Madhuri Dixit, Jacqueline Fernandez, Karan Johar, Bobby Deol, Ayushmann Khurrana, Irfan Pathan, Malaika Arora Khan and others.

It is widely said that Vas impressed the judges with her answer in the Q&A round, when asked who acts as a better teacher between failure and success, she said, "I would say failure is a better teacher because when you get continous success in life, you will feel content at a point and your growth will stop. But when you get failures continuously, the soul will have the fire and you will keep working hard until you reach the goal."

She further added saying, "It's always been failure in my life that took me to this position- from a village based place, from all the struggle, I am here. Not even a single person was there to support me other than my mother and I feel only the failures, the criticism I have gone through have brought me up a confident and independent and independent woman in this society. And experience is always the best teacher and that is what I can tell you. So keep trying."

Currently a student of B.A French, Vas aims to enter Bollywood soon. In near future she is all set to represent India on various International Platforms.
