North Korean leader Kim Jong Un seems to really like Singapore, spending a casual and relaxed evening along the harbour. The crowd cheered as Kim smiled and waved during his late-night stroll.

He is in Singapore to attend a much-anticipated summit with the U.S. President Donald Trump.

Almost 100 reporters and residents gathered around the leader, shouting his names and clicking photos. Kim visited Marina Bay Sands resort and later strolled along the harbor with Singapore Foreign Minister Vivian Balakrishnan, who also tweeted out a selfie with Kim.

Kim is known to be a very reclusive leader, and his sudden public appearance caught everyone by surprise. He arrived in Singapore with his sister Kim Yo Jong and Foreign Minister Ri Yong Ho. The trip to Singapore is also Kim's longest travel since taking power. These sudden measures seem to be Kim's way of overhauling his image post international sanctions in response to his nuclear testing.
