Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has filed a complaint against Karachi Mayor Murtaza Wahab and the Sindh governor, asking the election conducting authority to temporarily remove them from their offices to ensure free, fair, and impartial elections, as reported by Dawn News. PTI Karachi president, Khurrum Sher Zaman, who is also contesting the February 8 elections from NA-241, accused the mayor and Sindh Governor Kamran Tessori of activities that violate the ECP's code of conduct.

In a formal complaint, he called upon the Election Commission of Pakistan to conduct a thorough investigation into the matter and take immediate action, including the temporary removal of the mayor of Karachi and the governor of Sindh from their offices. Additionally, the PPP is organizing massive rallies in two major cities in Pakistan in preparation for the upcoming general elections scheduled for February 8 this year, ARY News reported.

The rallies are being organized to boost the election campaign of PPP leader Nabil Gabol, who is the contesting candidate of the party in Karachi. Leaders like Aseefa Bhutto Zardari and Asif Ali Zardari are expected to address the public in these rallies. These events come as former Foreign Minister of Pakistan Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has called on politicians to avoid turning political differences into personal enmity, emphasizing the need to push the country forward rather than back into 90s’ politics, as reported by ARY News.
